Anita Jain is the editorial director at the Open Markets Institute, a left-of-center think tank. She has been working as a journalist and nonprofit staffer for over 20 years. Her writings have appeared in the Washington Post, the Guardian, Wall Street Journal, and New York magazine.

She has previously worked for the Financial Times, the Center for Popular Democracy, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
