Albert J. Dwoskin is a real estate developer, activist, and major left-of-center donor to the Democratic Party and left-wing causes who resides in Virginia. In addition to being a major donor to left-wing candidates and causes,1 he sits on the boards of several left-wing organizations, at one time including the left-of-center donor convening group Democracy Alliance. Dwoskin jointly founded the Dwoskin Family Foundation, with his then-wife Claire Dwoskin as of 2019, the couple was reportedly “estranged.” The foundation primarily funds various advocacy campaigns for left-of-center causes, and anti-vaccine research and advocacy. 12

2008 General Election
In the 2008 general election, Dwoskin backed Democratic Party presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Chris Dodd, gifting them $2,300 and $1,000, respectively. Dwoskin also supported New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) with a $2,300 contribution. He did not contribute to Barack Obama after Obama won the Democratic nomination.
In the 2008 election cycle, Dwoskin gave $28,500 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and $24,500 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), both 527 political action committees.
