Young Democrats of America is the youth wing of the Democratic Party, and mobilizes support for Democratic candidates for public office. ¹

Activities

During its July 2025 biennial convention, members of the Young Democrats of America voted and approved of an amendment to its party platform towards foreign policy, calling the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza “genocide” as well as a resolution supporting student protests “against US complicity” in the “Israeli government’s genocidal actions in Gaza.” ¹ In addition, the new amendment criticized what it called Israel’s “occupation of the West Bank, and its denial of civil and political rights on an equal basis in the territories it militarily occupies.” ¹ According to Jewish Insider, additional proposals at the convention that were not passed due to not enough votes from delegates included removing language from its foreign policy platform which supported Isreal’s “right to exist as a Jewish democratic state,” removing statements that condemned “the oppression of the Iranian government,” and supporting “anti-regime protests.” ¹
