Trial Lawyer Backing
Along with Justice 2018 and the other Justice [Election Year] PACs, the right-of-center Alliance for Consumers identified two other organizations in its report that it labeled as “shady trial lawyer” PACs. 1
Its report on similar organizations includes the AAJ PAC, which is associated with the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America). It has contributed 98 percent of its $21.5 million in contributions to Democratic candidates from 2017 through 2024. 1
The Truth and Justice Fund Company spent more than $3 million in battleground U.S. Senate races in North Carolina and Montana. 1
Overall, the Justice PACs, the AAJ PAC and the Truth and Justice Fund Company contributed about $29 million in total support for Democratic U.S. Senate candidates and allied committees from 2017 through 2024.
