Leadership

At the Table! was founded in 2013 by U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY). Rep. Meng previously served as a member of the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012 after succeeding her father, Representative Jimmy Meng (D-Queens). 9 10

Prior to January 2022, Sandra Ung was the executive director of At the Table!. In 2022, she was elected to the New York City Council. Previously, Ung served as chief of staff for Rep. Meng and worked on several of her re-election campaigns. Ung has also sat on the board of managers for the Flushing YMCA, worked as a special assistant to the New York State Commissioner on Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation; served as a legislative assistant to former New York City Comptrollers Bill Thompson (D) and John Liu (D); was the chief of staff to former New York State Assemblyman Jimmy Meng; worked as a staff attorney to Sanctuary for Families; and was an associate attorney at Dorsey & Whitney, LLP. 11 12

Sammy J Kye is listed as the treasurer of At the Table! 13 As of June 2025, Kye is a lawyer working for the New York-based law firm Yoon and Kim LLP. 14

Janica Kyriacopoulos is listed as the At the Table!’s PAC’s assistant treasurer on Federal Election Commission forms. 9 Kyriacopoulos has served in similar roles at other left-of-center groups, including the New Democratic Coalition Action Fund, 15 the American Mobilization Project, 16 and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. 17
