The group receives substantial funding from the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee and other left-of-center political committees including the Teamsters Union’s D.R.I.V.E. committee. ³

Leadership

Rebecca Pearcey is the president of the American Leadership Committee as well as a partner in political communications at Bryson Gillette. Previously, she was the political director and senior advisor for the presidential campaign of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), director of the national independent expenditure campaign for the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, advisor for the Clinton Health Access Initiative in the South African National Department of Health, and fall 2021 fellow at the Institute of Politics and Public Service. ^{4 1 5 6}

Ellie Collinson is the treasurer of the American Leadership Committee as well as the chief administrative officer of the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development in Washington, D.C. Previously, she was the deputy director and chief operating officer of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, chief of staff to the chief financial officer and assistant secretary of administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Biden administration, and member of the Washington, D.C. Human Rights Commission. ^{7 1}

Jacob Manser is the secretary of the American Leadership Committee as well as the project director at the Community Tech Alliance. Previously, he was a vice president of Global Strategy Group, independent expenditure political director at the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, consultant at JVA Campaigns, deputy operations director and LGBT vote director for the presidential campaign of Barack Obama, and operations manager at We Are Ohio. ^{8 1}
