Future Plans
- Women’s Crisis Relief
Shelter KWIECO has continuously experienced the need to provide immediate
assistance and protection for female clients seeking refuge from abusive and
violent relationships. Female clients seeking their legal rights are often
confronted with very dangerous and threatening situations at home and in their
community, even networks of extended family can turn on a woman and become
malicious and unsupportive. To provide immediate assistance to these victims and
vulnerable women KWIECO is hoping to establish one of the first women’s crisis
relief shelter in Tanzania
- The Self Sufficient NGO
All of KWIECO’s future plans, the continued programs and the new
initiatives,
look toward more self sufficient operation. The concept of self-sufficiency as
an aid to personal development is not only what KWIECO works for with individual
women of Kilimanjaro region, it also extends to community organizations and
non-profits like KWIECO. We hope to achieve sustainability and self-sufficiency
through some revenue creating activities and local fundraising. Eventually, we
hope to become an exemplary organization to show women’s capacity and
ingenuity in the development process and society as a whole.
